Stoicism for a Better Life – Weekly exercise (February 27, 2019)

Hello there,

This week let us draw inspiration from Seneca – XLVII 16:

“As he is a fool who, when purchasing a horse, does not consider the animal’s points, but merely his saddle and bridle; so he is doubly a fool who values a man from his clothes or from his rank, which indeed is only a robe that clothes us.”

This week, pay attention to how much you are influenced by appearances in all aspects of life (people, product, location, etc…). Suspend your judgment until you have further insight.
